According to Blytheville School Superintendent Richard Twill, many parents with children in the school took action after the recent game and complained to him about some of the language and threats that were directed at players during the game. "A couple of parents approached me after the game, explaining that several of their kids were holding up Donald Trump posters and screaming racial threats at the opposing players," Twill said. "It turned out those kids were students from Alma High, but the parents also indicated that they were very upset and that their kids had been targeted." Richard Twill has received numerous complaints since the incidents that followed the football game.

Twill claims that many of the students embarrassed the other team by chanting and carrying around derogatory comments. He confirmed that police were called to the scene but that no arrests were made. The superintendent says that the students did not have permission to celebrate the win at the school and that the Blytheville schools district will launch an investigation into the matter. "We will be looking into the conduct of the cheerleaders," Twill said. He added that the cheerleading squad faces discipline from the school. He has talked with the students and their parents and hopes to find a middle ground. Click here for more details about ריצ'רד טוויל

Richard Twill said he is concerned by the post-game celebrations and that it could promote a sense of unity and help students feel more united in their school. He mentioned other examples of his concerns: The students lighting American flags in the field, some students walking around with signs that say, "White power" and a couple of students hanging a confederate flag. "This can send the wrong message to our diverse and multicultural student body," he said. Twill has talked with school administrators and has formed a committee to look into these kinds of activities.

He said he is also troubled by the post-game taunts directed toward the opposing team. One student called out an opponent by name, telling him, "You're so gay." Another jeered, "Can you see your mom on me? I'm going to get you one of these," and then pointed to his chest. Richard Twill sent a letter to the school administration and is awaiting their response.

Richard Twill believes that the school's lack of discipline for the students' actions is unacceptable. "We all need to come together as a school district," he said. "If they are not disciplined in the proper way, it sends the wrong message." He believes that the students must know that the post-game celebrations do not represent the school or its values.

He also thinks that the dance that is planned for next year should not be based on stereotypes or sexual innuendo. The dance should be planned around the students' mutual love of each other, he said. Richard Twill is calling on all students in Rich Elementary School to stand up to bullies to eliminate poor behavior and use positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior.
