Tangkasnet, Pakistan - Your Perfect Holiday Destination

In the town of Tangkasnet, Pakistan, we were treated to a breathtaking view of the beautiful snow capped mountains. It was with such a view, that we returned home to make our Taj Mahal Theme Dining experience even more memorable.

Taj Mahal was, in my opinion, the apex of the Orient based on what I have experienced in this tropical paradise. Singapore is known for its cities and towns but Tangkasnet takes its heritage too. A stroll through the streets of Tangkasnet will reveal centuries old buildings that have been carved out of the rocky cliffs. The town is alive with fun and excitement during all seasons.

The snow capped mountain made of sandstone may not be the most spectacular sight on earth, but once you get there it becomes the centre of attention. Besides the incredible views, I have enjoyed spending my holiday with family and friends enjoy a meal at the local restaurants.

Our families are all from the region of Kurnool and so on our last day we enjoyed a guided tour of the village of Kinrath and the Kinrath Fort. When at the city, it is best to visit the nearby Sri Vijaya Temple. It is not an important tourist attraction, but it is quite a treat to see it from any vantage point. The temple is adorned with intricate carvings.

Our little girls absolutely loved the Great Colour Street that was lined with fresh flowers and colourful clothes. It was an especially fun experience for me as I had to jump about like a fool in full Chinese costume for it to be a successful local. In their defence, they loved it.

For Christmas, our family is planning a trip to other places in India and have not looked back. We will be visiting Kashmir, which is the traditional destination of winter to attend Shab-e-Qadr. We can't wait to enjoy the wonderful snow covered mountains of Kashmir as well as spend time in the traditional villages and towns that comprise the region.
